The written mold remediation protocol will recommend that containments be set up. Containments are necessary to insure that the during remediation the non affected areas will be safe and remain unaffected. Containments are constructed using using 6 mil. plastic and PVC tubing.
Negative pressure is a key element in the contraction of the containment. The negative air machines should be exhausted out the closest window if possible during remediation to insure contaminants are exhausted outside. The negative pressure also insures that whenever exiting the containment the contaminated air is not being positively exhausted into the unaffected areas.
